Contents

Masterclasses on choral conducting aimed to those wanting to take their choral conducting skills to the next level. Students will work, among other aspects, rehearsal methods, gesture and movement techniques, interpretation and vocalization. Classes will take place in English

Dates

Grenade: from June 24th to 26th.

Vézelay: from August 18th to 21st. A final concert will take place on August 21st in the morning.

 

Timetable in Grenade:

Mornings: from 10.30 a 13.30h

Afternoons: from 16.30 to 19.30h

 

Timetable in Vézelay:

Tuesday 18th: from 14:00 to 17:00h and from 18:00 to 20:00 h

Wednesday 19th: from 10:30 to 13:30h and from 15:00 to 18:00 h

Thursday 20th: from 10:30 to 13:30h and from 15:00 to 18:00h

Friday 21th from 09:30 to 10:10 quick rehearsal, 11:00 concert

Active students:

 

1- Fees in Granada (no accommodation included) and fees and accommodation (full board) in Vézelay: 630 €.

 

2- Fees and accommodation in Granada (half board) and in Vézelay: 846€

 

Special prizes for students of public music conservatories and universities from all over Spain:

Grants

Applications may be made for grants for fees (more information at General conditions of registration)

 

Scholarships for French students two possibilities of financial support are suggested:

 

1- To apply for a mobility grant (exclusively for transport expenses)

2- To apply the covering of the registration fees as part of a continuing education project

Observers are welcome. Places that will be covered by strict order of reception of applications Observers cannot be part of any active conducting

 

Selection process

Those interested in take part in the masterclasses must indicate in their application form a YouTube link (or other similar video-sharing sites) with a recent performance, plus a résumé reflecting experience and studies as a conductor, and a cover letter highlighting the applicant’s professional and artistic objectives.

 

Selection will be made by the teachers and their decision will not be subject to appeal, and will be notified to successful applicants by e-mail.
